Program of EIML Paris summer Paris session

The EIML Paris summer school program is divided into 5 modules; each can be attended independently.

The course covers areas such as Introduction to history of products, consumer behavior, international marketing and retailing.
The student will have the opportunity to consolidate the theoretical approach with the company visits allowing the students to meet professionals.

Week 1 - From June 12th to June 16th


- Fashion Market in France and Europe
- Fashion and French Designers
- Brand Management in Fashion and Accessories
- Create your moodboard and collection
- Haute Couture and Made in France know-how
- French Dress Code
- Merchandising

Company visits / conferences and cultural visits

- Visit of Versailles Castle
- Store tour in Faubourg Saint Honoré

Week 2 - From June 19th to June 23th


- Cosmetic and Perfume Market in France and Europe
- History of iconic French Perfume
- Brand Management in Cosmetics and Perfume
- Create your own Eau de Cologne
- Consumer Behaviour and Trends
- French ceremonial of Sales
- Distribution in Europe and Travel Retail

Company visits / conferences and cultural visits

- Merchandising tour in different perfume stores

Week 3 - From June 26th to June 30th


- Jewelry and Timepieces Market in France and Europe
- History of Jewelry and Timepieces
- Brand Management in Jewlery and Timepieces
- Jewlery Design and Mockup
- Gemology
- French Etiquette and ritual

Company visits / conferences and cultural visits

- Jewelry tour in Place Vendôme

Week 4 - From July 3th to July 7th


- Luxury Hospitality Market in France and Europe
- Focus on French Designers and Interior Design
- Hospitality Brand Management
- Chef Business Models and History of French Haute Gastronomie
- Concierge Services
- Tableware workshop

Company visits / conferences and cultural visits

- Visits of 5 star hotels and palaces
- Wine Tasting

Week 5 - From July 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th


- Luxury markets and key players
- Conference with CEO of luxury brands
- Luxury codes
- Cultural visits (Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Palais Galierea, tradeshows, workshops, etc.)
- Customer relationship management in luxury sector
- Conference with marketing manager in luxury company
- Brand management in luxury
- Store visits (Place Vendôme)
- Merchandising strategies
- Fashionand accessories Tour


30 contact hours per session of which :
- 25 teaching hours
- 3 hours dedicated to company visits / conferences
- 2 hours dedicated to cultural visits
+5 hours dedicated to individual work


These summer modules provide excellent support for those planning a career in the Luxury industry by acquiring fundamentals in the Luxury business.
In addition, students can transfer up to 8 credits to their home institution (if the home institution allows them to transfer their credits).
